Indiana Football's defense dominated Michigan in a 13-6 overtime victory, and Jacob Goins believes Bryant Haines' unit just showed why the Hoosiers can defend their national championship. After limiting Michigan to just six points and 57 rushing yards, is Indiana's defense returning to championship form? In today's Locked On Hoosiers HIT, Jacob breaks down Indiana's impressive defensive performance against Michigan and explains why Curt Cignetti's Hoosiers could be dangerous during the second half of the 2026 college football season. Indiana recorded four sacks against the Wolverines, including two from Rolijah Hardy, while Amare Ferrell added another interception. The Hoosiers delivered physical play up front, disciplined linebacker performances and strong tackling throughout the game. Jacob also looks ahead to Indiana's remaining regular-season opponents, including Minnesota, USC, Washington and Purdue, and explains why an improving offense combined with championship-level defense could make the Hoosiers one of college football's most dangerous teams.
